Lift & Recline- Single & Dual Motor

Single Motor Lift & Recline

This electrically operated mechanism allows the user to select any position between the fully lifted and fully reclined position at the touch of a button. When operating the recline function the entire chair including arms, seat and back move in unison to allow the chair to be placed close to a wall before operation, hence the name 'wallhugger'.

If the button is held after returning from the reclined position the entire chair will begin to lift to assist the user to their feet. Conversely, if the user wishes to return to a sitting or reclined position, the chair will lower the person slowly into the desired position.

The mechanism is powered by a single low voltage (24V) linear actuator with a comfortable handset, which is also available as a detachable option for added safety to prevent misuse.

Dual Motor Lift & Recline

This electrically operated mechanism allows the user to select any position between the fully lifted and fully reclined position at the touch of a button. Powered by two low voltage (24v) linear actuators the back can be adjusted totally independently from the lift and recline functions. This feature gives a greater variety of sitting positions but means that the chair cannot be placed close to a wall as the back can recline without the chair moving away from the wall. If it is important to place the chair close to the wall the Single Motor Lift & Recline mechanism should be considered.
